COVID-19: On the Front Lines

Updated: Mar 23, 2020

For the next couple of weeks, we're going to be talking with people who are on the frontlines of the coronavirus. Medical professionals, political leaders, business executives, and spiritual leaders are all answering the call and we want to tell their stories and get their perspectives.

What Is COVID-19 and How Does It Spread?

In this first episode, Carson Feix talks about the nature of the coronavirus, why it spreads so quickly, and how to treat it.

Symptoms and Testing

In the second episode, Dr. Chris Shadid talks about the symptoms, testing, and precautions we need to be taking. As a family practice physician he sees patients in his family healthcare clinic and as a hospitalist, he sees patients at Integris-Baptist hospital in OKC. He offers a really helpful perspective on what doctors are seeing in clinics and hospitals and how they're being guided to treat and stop the spread of COVID-19.

A Fearless Church in a Fearful World

Dr. Todd Fisher joins the podcast to talk about how the church can lead fearlessly in a fearful world. Todd is the pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee Oklahoma and he also teaches at Oklahoma Baptist University and at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I think you'll be really encouraged to hear what he has to say about the challenges churches are facing and the unique opportunities for church to rise to the challenge.
